THE GOSPEL WORK
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026 · Applies to thegospelwork.com and the Amplify application
Who we are
The Gospel Work ("we," "us") provides Amplify, a content tool that helps churches turn their sermons into blog posts, graphics, scripts, emails, and related materials. Contact: support@thegospelwork.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Content you provide: sermon transcripts, YouTube links, brand details (church name, colors, logo, fonts, writing samples), uploaded images and bulletins — used solely to generate your content.
- Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference.
- Brand settings stored in your browser: your brand kit (colors, logo, fonts, voice notes) is stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
Google user data (YouTube connection)
If you choose to connect your YouTube channel, we request permission to manage your YouTube videos. We use this access only to: (1) read your video list and statistics to show your channel insights, and (2) update titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails on your videos when you explicitly click a button asking us to. We store an encrypted refresh token in your browser; we do not store your YouTube data on our servers, sell it, or use it for advertising. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions or by disconnecting in the app.
Amplify's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use your information
- To generate the content you request. Sermon transcripts and brand details are sent to our AI processing providers (such as Anthropic) solely to produce your content; they are not used to train models.
- To operate your account, enforce plan limits, and process subscriptions.
- To power optional features you enable, such as the "Ask Our Sermons" website widget, which stores your sermon transcripts in our cloud storage so your website visitors can search them.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data or your congregation's data. Ever.
- We do not run ads or share data with advertisers.
- We do not access your connected accounts except when you click an action that requires it.
Data retention & deletion
Account records are kept while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data (including your sermon library), email us and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.
Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Stored data lives in access-controlled cloud storage. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 provider.
Children
Amplify is intended for use by churches and their staff, not by children under 13.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
